crystal stone healing

Despite my bad experience in buying my crystals yesterday and the wish that it was going to be a joyous moment. I wish to state to the universe that I have not let the experince dull my enjoyment of working with them them time to come .I also feel that my dh needs to look inside himself and work on his own fears and ignorance by living to far into the illusion of a completet material world.

I am planning a special cleansing ritual ,see linkwww.freyasrealm.com/cleansing_a_crystal.html\here{}, tommorw, out of view of dh who will be at work. I want to state that I am proud that I have not let it stop me from learning and enjoying the new ways I will be working with myself. I hope to enjoy some discussion with others about the work they do with crystals and how they have found the energy help them.

I bought
for healing sacral chakra carnelian palm stone 8cm accros approx
For protection rough cut black stone (I cannot recall the name as that when the argument was at its worse and very public)I will be researching what it is.
All chakra small stones
Rose qaurtz(given to me free by the man on the stall).

Good for you Melsy

Look forward to hearing how your special ritual goes
am thinking of you lots and lots, and also have been sending you big HUGS and postitive vibes

gothicmama · 16/05/2004 11:47

Just to say sending positive thoughts was goingto add sage is very good ( can burn it whilst cleansing )but then read link and it's mentioned hope it goes well - my red jesper i left in sunlight by a ttray of salt and sage whilst my amatrist I left in sunlight.

hi melsy, enjoy your ritual.
If it is any consolation when i first became actively interested in reiki, crystals etc. DH went all weird, he refused to let me practice reiki in the house - witchcraft etc. said crystals were a load of 4 letter words I will leave to your imagination. I 'ignored' him to a point and didn't practice reiki on anybody in the house but over time he became curious and now he has a weekly treatment, he bought me crystals for christmas the other year, several books on complimentary therapies etc...
I am positive that his initial reaction was to do with fear - fear of the unknown mostly
hope things work out

have been out today at aircraft show and bought something from a crystal type stall...the bloke had long hair, necklaces around his neck, looked like he was into all sorts and I took his business card and he's a Reiki healer, Aura and colour analyst, Intuitive card reader, Colour numerology, Runes, Tarot, Palm sculpture, crystal therapy, regression therapy, chakra balancing and is known as a "Physic & Paranormal Consultant, British Astological & Psychic Society Consultant and a Reiki master"

Have checked his web site and it says he's been doing this for over 40 years..

I know many mumsnetters have done this sort of stuff and wonder if it's worth going for (without the knowledge of dh of course, also bought a selenite candle holder which he said give off energy to help you meditate...dh thinks it's a load of old rubbish...but have had dd and me and the candle and we've felt quite calm with it going on...

this chakra thing is it worth doing and like the sound of all the stuff he does!

anyone willing to share their experience of chakras and crystals as opened magazine tonight and it's all about crystals...and apparently "you do not choose your crystal, your crystal chooses you" to help you at that time...have selenite btw and it's a very warming addition to the mantlepiece.

think your chosen crystal loses you to when you dont need it anymore too
i went in a shop a few years ago and asked for a quartz pendant and after a quick think the lady said hang on i might have one in here
i bought a quartz pendant with haematite -which was just what i needed(haemotite is grounding)
anyway one day i lost it one minute i was holding it the next minute it was gone ..i swear i just threw it in the bin absent mindedly

i was peed off at first but consoled myself thinking that it must have decided to go for whatever reason...maybe i didnt need it anymore?

lavender one tell your dh its not a load of rubbish-how does he explain crystal powered radios?
have been for reiki(used to go a lot) and am attuned to the first degree(reiki speak!) in the right hands its good stuff .what type of reiki does he do? he sounds very interesting does he have a site?

well i bought some citrine quartz (i think thats the name) the other day. it helps reveal issues to do with self esteem. i have felt such clarity regarding these matters since carrying it with me in my bag, i feel its really helping me with a lot of personal problems. i bought some rose quartz for ds for its calmong properties. does anyone know what working with crystals involves, is meditation a key method?

Papillon · 07/09/2004 18:45

hi melli
as you may have read, Melsy who started this thread did a cleansing ritual and gave a link about the ritual.
From my own personal perspective I feel that a crystal will help bring cleansing or new perspective, but also that it is important to work in combination with the crystal. Then the results can be longer term. So while the crystal helps you, working within the area you are focusing on, like self esteem will be beneficial. The work can be ritual, visualisation, mediation or a combination of these etc. I like visualisation as you can image yourself being a more confident person and go on and then try that in a social environment. Therefore, I would say that if you are feeling more clarity then it is important to act upon that also and not just rely on the placebo feeling and try some mediation or RL strategies.

hth and all the best

one of the important things, is to enjoy your crystals. look at them and feel them. the cleansing ritual is good for getting to know them... so long as there are no negative dh's around .

however, if you do some searches on the net, you will see many different methods of cleansing but basically it all comes down to intention.

it is true that crystals will choose you! they kinda wink at you . i had a hematite bracelet that i loved. i wore it all the time. my reiki master said she didnt think it was right for me, but i still wore it. it IS a grounding stone but can ground you too much.

anyway, i had just finished a reflexology treatment on a client and looked down on the floor. not only had it broken, the clasp had also become undone. i dont wear it anymore.

rose quartz is a lovely positive stone... soaks up all the negative energy. in feng shui it is often put on window sills.

watch your amethyst in sunlight. some crystals can fade in direct sunlight, and thats one of them.

just have fun and enjoy!

regards

rosie
