How do I find a non religious based spiritual group in my area?

Im finding that many of them are linked to churches and would rather join a group that isnt linked to religion as such. Not going to be easy , as dh will think I want to join a cult , silly man. I would like to find like minds with no religious doctrine.

sorry that deosnt mean in any way that I find anyone with religious and spiritual beliefs wrong , I just would like to find a more nuetral base. Cant really get to what I mean today arghhhhhhhhhhhh, as I am of a partciular religion (were I follow by tradition and culture rather than the true religious nature IYKWIM!!) How can I stipulate if Im a mix hey , nutter I am. Waffling now !!!

How about the library? Lots of explorative 'spiritual' groups advertise there.

Of course , what is WRONG with me today. What 8 hrs sleep could do for my head eh !!!

Try the unitarians or the quakers - both are a religious group I suppose but neighter have a doctrine

What do you want from the group? What would your ideal'like minds' be like? Would Yoga be good for you? Or meditation? Or could you join a political or campaigning group in a field that matters to you?

Id like to find one may be done in a home so a bit more social.With people of all varyong degrees of interest and physchic abilities. Ideally centred around mediataion , visulaisation ,after life, healing, Synchronicity, numerology, tarot etc.

May be were group mediation can happen and or discussion of the latest books , how to work certain crsytals or meeting spirit guides. Ideally a bit like how the yurt threads is but in rl life(hello paps & glitter btw). I feel I need somewere to go like this once every week in the evenings away from house & the latop !!!

Feeling a bit low(but not depressed) , think it would be great boost.

There is someone up the road from me who I know is into this side of life , but we havent spoken in ages and its a little , Im not sure how to say , stilted when we do see each other. Nice women though.
