It's lovely. I advised another mner to read Desiderata yesterday. I like 'The Serenity Prayer' too

My first post, didn't really expect any reply. Feeling quite emotional at the moment. What a beautiful thing to have at a naming ceremony. I will read The Serenity Prayer. Thank you.

For DD we had a passage from "The Places You'll Go".

I think of "Everyone has the right to wear Sunscreen" as a kind of modern Desiderata.

I love it. We had it on our dining room wall at home when I was little.

I love it too, and if you're feeling emotional at the moment, I hope it goes some way to providing a little comfort.

I am not at all spiritually persuaded but I adore desiderata and also consider sunscreen to be a modern equivalent.

I read desiderata to 300 teenagers. They listened in silence and gave a big round of applause at the end. Some asked for copies.

Winner must be in response to the crisps. My old boss told me her fondest memory from school was a trip to the seabrook factory. Life affirming poetry it's not, but important non the less!
