Spiritual / inspirational books for children?

Hi All!

We don't follow any religion in our house, but we do have, what I might term a 'spiritual' lifestyle.

I am fed up with the skipper and Spot books that fill the bookshelves in shops and don't seem to teach ANYTHING of value!

What I am after are positive, inspirational, uplifting books with messages about good self esteem, celebrating our differences, a reverence for the earth and one another.......

there used to be a great company called Words Of Discovery, but they appear to have gone out of business.

Where do you lovely people get your positive and inspirational books for your children from?

Kind regards
India x

Hi there,

We have a lovely book by someone Ingpen (not Mick Inkpen of Kipper fame!) called 'Who is the world for?' (The answer is that the world is for all the animals and for us humans too...it's written beautifully with lovely pictures and what OFSTED call the 'awe and wonder'factor).

That's my recommendation anyway!

Try Floris books floris.co.uk - they have lovely picture books plus some great ones for grown-ups too!

All I See Is Part of Me , is a book I've been drooling over for a while.
