Sikh wedding ettiquette

Our nice neighbours, who are Sikh, have invited the kids and I round to join in a bit of their son's wedding party. This is not the actual ceremony but a party at their house. I don't want to turn up empty handed, can anyone tell me what sort of gift would be appropriate? Also is there any sort of etiquette I should be aware of, such as who I should greet in what way, shoes on or off or anything like that?
