Psychic or coincidence

I mentioned earlier about my mate's DH and his coincidence. I've just remembered something that happened to us a few years back. DH, DS1 and I had driven to a beauty spot and as we entered the car park DH went to park near a tree. I had an overwhelming feeling that he shouldn't park there but didn't say anything (I would nowadays though)
When the day ended DS1 needed the loo so we popped there then back to car to see the car at an angle and the side where I'd put Ds in bashed to bits. We'd just missed it. Apparently some young kids had been messing about and let an underage girl drive and she'd reversed madly all over the place and into us. Someone took the number but no joy. I was just relieved we'd missed it.

Oh and forgot to add , although not sure the message here, but my claim ref # for my crashed car on Monday was full of 8's !! Oh yes and when I cancelled my hypnotherapist due to the crash that day and couldnt get her on her mobile number , I phoned the health food shop below her practise to see if they could give me her number. After trying to track her down for 1/2 hr she was in the shop on her lunch break buying some bits !!!

Hi Melsy - yes, feeling not too bad today thanks. What I meant was that I think spirits/souls can't tell you what's going to happen in the future ( I know clairvoyants do but that's different). I'm sure I've had a 'visit' from my husband in a dream at least twice - both truly amazing experiences (not rude in case you were wondering). The 2nd one was almost like I was sleep walking. I went downstairs into my kitchen and everything was exactly how I left it the night before (you know, bits left out etc etc). My husband was standing in the kitchen and I knew he was dead but it was ok. I touched his face and kissed him and his skin felt different but it wasn't horrible it was just different. Anyway, I asked him what he was doing there as he was dead - he said that when I was out at work he would sit and listen to his music and gaze at the garden and when I am at home he just sits and watches me (not knowing that he's there) I do feel him around quite often. I can feel him now funnily enough. I've had so many signs from him - far too many to mention but that 'dream' was so lovely I hope I never forget it. I hope people won't think i'm weird or anything it's just what I believe is true but am aware that it could also be just the grief.

I sometimes wonder about the untapped potential that could be lurking in babies. We place alot of structure, nutured rules and concepts and IMO instinctual behaviour is sort of a grey area that we don´t actively encourage really (except the danger ones... hot cold etc)

That is wonderful wot you wrote Galaxy and personally if my daughter showed a tendency like this I would be quite excited for her. But that is probably cause you see me running around the spirit board all the time and I am interested in those sorts of things

melsy · 15/06/2004 16:56

Im like papillon , if my child or husband showed these abilites I would think woweee how fab because i think its what makes life amazing and wonderful. but if your not keen on it and dont like it, thats ok too. You must feel comfortable with it.

Id be interested in how to nurture those aiblties papillon, if you know any ideas.

My father died in March and I know some of you posted on the thread that I had experiece of fresh flowers when he died and my sister had the same experience every where we went.

My other sister has come over from Australia to visit and I told her of the experience.
A few days later she had the same experience a field smelling of very strong flowers then it past after a minute.

The other strange thing was my sister sent some flowers by inteflora happened to be the same place where my sister and I got our flowers. This was really strange as the florist was not near where we lived or my mother's home. larsxx

That is wonderful Galaxy that you and your dh are open about it - especially since your dh is quiet about his abilities. Wow, you should get him to go on a game show!!! may never have to work again

I do not know alot about it apart from the books that I have read, especially about children and parents having a psychic bond - it happens quite abit Dinosaur the phone ringing sensation. My sister always knows the phone is going to ring - we say it is the fey side of coming out, as we have scottish family heritage.

I have only just arrived home and dh had turned the computer on so had to have a sneak visit - I will think about the books that I have read - and post about it later.

I would love to talk more about it and there may be others out there who may know more about psychic abilities in children. Perhaps we should have a thread for the kids. Would that be good with you Galaxy?

juniper68 · 18/06/2004 19:50

Hi all,
a thread for kids would be good, my DS1 is always saying stuff.

The other day I was visiting my homeopath and he started getting pics out of his new home in France (he's coming over every few weeks to work though) and he showed me his van too. I said 'oh I was sure it was white' he said 'no u only saw it as that colour (blue)before it was painted but look' and he showed me it painted white. He said I must've seen it in my mind as he only decided last minute to paint it white and it wasn't at his home but his friends when I said this.

Papillon · 14/08/2004 17:30

i just went to the window with dd and the local cat who roams around our Platz crossed the road and my fav no. tram went past, had to slow down for black cat and ring bell. Then a black car went past, and then a black woman, and then a black couple. Went downstairs with dd so she can see cat. I grew up around many animals and want her to be used to not pullling their tails when in NZ visiting.

I like cats like that. I have enjoyed walking with cats many times and used to have a cat that I would regularly go on walks with, encouraged and started by her.

Hi papillon
How are you? Those are amazing coincidences. Cats are amazing creatures aren't they? They just look at you like they 'know'

BTW I'm going to get back into celestine - honest! Feel I'm at a good point to concentrate on it now.

OP posts:
Papillon · 14/08/2004 18:16

Well you have been holidaying and following weather patterns so no wonder you have not had alot of time fo rhte Celestine!

When the woman went across the road a bus stopped for her - just after the tram had to slow down for the cat - forgot to add that
who knows why I witnessed all that!

I am good thanks. Going to the MN summer party in a week. Pity you are in the north - not going your way - but going to see Melsy and Glitterfairy!

juniper68 · 14/08/2004 18:22

Oh lucky u papillon, goin to the party and how lovely to meet Melsy and GF!

I bet you'll all have jaw ache by the time the party's over?

OP posts:
juniper68 · 14/08/2004 18:23

was the cat black too?

OP posts:
Papillon · 14/08/2004 18:34

yes. i often see it as everybody else does hanging at both the supermarkets and it was hanging out in the garden (office building garden) opposite our place when I went down to talk and hang out

funny that I have quite an affinity with cats being year of the dog - i went through a stage of attacting them when living with my parents afew years back - mum now has 4 cats all gained through me... 3 of them are mine the other I found in their orchard and he looked just like a cat we used to have and like a cat my sister had but it died - she has just come back from living in the states and she could not believe her eyes when I encouraged it out from the trees

edam · 14/08/2004 19:14

Don't usually post on these threads but saw this come up today. Spacemonkey's post on 5 June reminded me, when my mother applied for her birth certificate (she's adopted) she discovered at the time she was born, her birth mother had been living in a house dh and I had walked past thousands of times ? it was opposite a pub theatre that we used to write for.
And I recently discovered the hospital where my mother was born had become part of the hospital where I had ds ? changed names and everything so had no idea when booking. Had my choice of four hospitals (we were in London) so spooky that I chose the one where my mother was born! Until she discovered she was adopted, we had no idea she'd been born in London at all, always thought she came from her home town.

My mum told me that my 2nd baby was going to be a girl.

My mum died 7 years ago this christmas. When I got pregnant last year we decided that we would find out if the baby was a boy or a girl. A few weeks before the scan I had a dream that I was at the hospital and my mum was there showing me around, looked nothing like our local hospital but anyway, showing me leaflets and magazines about pregnancy etc. Then she said I'm going to show you how to make up baby formula, I already knew how to do this since I have dd1 but she measured all the powder into a big bowl then added the water and it turned Pink!

The thing is I didn't actually make the connection until the next night when I went to bed and I was thinking about how I'd had a dream and that my mum had been in it. I thought to myself pity she hadn't told me what I was having then I remembered that the formula had turned Pink.

Dd2 was born in May and is now 16 weeks old. She likes to lie on her mat and chat and giggle at the ceiling. I truely believe that my mum is there talking to her and maybe my grandad as well as he died in March before she was born and was really looking forward to the birth of his second great grandchild.
