jusr wondering if anyone else sways more to spiritualist (mediums/psychics/belief of afterlife) than god/jesus/other gods xx

Aren't most 'spiritualist' churches basically vaguely Christian in ethos, with a bit of pretending to pass on messages from deceased Auntie Maureen?

im not sure to be fair so quiet naive to it all, but I am been drawn to all that stuff since my grandad died had a few medium readings feel I got more back from it than church and god like my family do? x

whatever gives you comfort is fine. Do be careful of mediums etc, they aren't in the business for their health or yours. At least church is free!

I think whatever gives you comfort. Many people who are mediums are genuine but of course as with everything there are fakers looking for the cash.

It's a shame there are fakers but the genuine spirit communicators are painted with a tarnished brush.

Use your own inner vibe when choosing where to place your time, money et al. For me medium readings are very varied, people's expectations are also varied. Ego gets in the way, but with truth you will always feel that in your heart.

If anyone ever 'reads' for you, regardless of their message, always go with your interpretation of the information. People can speak to the passed on loved ones but they are interpreters on your behalf.

I'd recommend you visit SNU churches (Spiritualist National Union) and the SNU website for more information :) It is not a christian religion at all - one of the fundamental principles is personal responsibility, so noone else could die to absolve us of our own sins...

Go to a church you may get a message there?

Breach is right. We are responsible for our own sins. We don't believe anyone died for them. Are not ruled by Dogma or any book but try to follow the 7 principles.
Open circles are good too anyone can go along.

The Spiritualist churches have demonstrations of mediumship and Divine services. It's the best place to go for a message. Find a SNU church here. The church I go to isn't SNU. Like any church you need to find one you feel right in if you want to go regularly but for services go to any.

I would say don't feed the medium. Some are so desperate for proof they make things fit. Specific good evidence is key. Yes or no is all that's needed.

I thought you might. The mediums in church get petrol money for going as most travel.
Spiritualism is a recognised religion. I could be insulted by the likes of you but instead often wonder why your type always feel the need to mock? Just get on with your life if you have one?

It's embarrassing for our species that threads like this are even possible in 2015. And the fact that they only ever appear on sites largely used by women is even more shaming.

Mediums, psychics and spiritualists are all either liars or deluded beyond all reason.

Although I am rather taken aback that someone who believes bullshit wholesale would suggest that someone else "doesn't have a life". Sounds like defensive spite to me.

Easy. If they say they can talk to dead people or recieve messages from dead people they are frauds.

Some are not actually deliberately fraudulent- some of them believe it themselves. They are deluded.

I have been to my local spiritualist church a few times. I have had messages in the past, one of which was amazing. No one in the church knew me so it was impossible to know my situation and no, I did not pay other than make the usual plate collection for the church. I found everyone to be very friendly and pleasant. In fact this forum has put me in mind to go again!

Wow. How rude that some you would find it OK to blatantly be nasty to someone for their beliefs. No-one can prove god lived so does that mean that all churches who profess he lived or take donations or money are automatically frauds or liars or con-men/ladies? No it doesn't, it simply means that there are differences of opinion and if you don't like something it doesn't mean it's OK to go and make others feel crap because they don't have the same beliefs.

Yes, they're rude, but they are also rather pathetic and that's to be pitied. Try not to take it personally.
