Not the big stuff (eg health, kids, waking up every day and so on) just the more frivolous stuff.

I am doing something with a group of pre-teens tomorrow for Thanksgiving and all contributions wouldhelp greatly.

Though all 3 of my kids are sick ( dd1 has cold, other 2 have cold + vomiting & diahorreah, adn dh is away working till tomorrow night), they are all in bed asleep at 8.15, which I am very thankful for!! I now have the eb=vening to myself to fall asleep in front of the TV with a glass of wine and the 'Friends' reruns on E4 I have been recording all week!!

Surfermum · 14/10/2006 20:36

Sweet potatoes.

I can still have my weekly ham, egg and chips without the fattening chips and still lose weight at slimming world.

My dd [5] said that I made her day better today because i was in it! I am in it everyday by the way

nearlythree · 14/10/2006 20:41

Burying my nose in ds's silky hair (he's 4 mo)

Dd2 wrapping her arms around my neck and saying, 'Goodnight, angel' at bedtime, becuase that is what I say to her (she's two and a half and a late talker)

Making cheese and potato pie with dd1, then surprising her by making a smiley face in peas on her portion, and her saying it was the best dinner ever (she's 4 and a half).

Moondog, I am grateful for the long walk I took in Chatsworth gardens and grounds today with my son and my friend. It reminds me how beautiful the passing of time is.

PinkTulips · 14/10/2006 20:57

PinkTulips · 14/10/2006 20:59

I write my diary every night and in that I write my "5 thank-yous of the day" ...

  • my DH got home late and went into the spar room ... so as not to wake me with his AWFUL snoring ...
  • my DH went to the tip for me
  • my DH washed my car
  • my DH went to the chinese for us
  • my DH just gave me another glass of wine

so .... my one small thank-you is ....

  • thank-you for my DH

Made a cake, assisted by ds (age 5), 2 Playmobil firemen, and a helicopter! Firemen "tested" the sultanas, and helicopter flew over the cake before it was put in oven. Ds helped with stirring and extra testing of sultanas and currants.
