Conflicted internally and with DH over baptising DS - advice needed

Our DS is four months old and is our first. My DH and I are both baptised Catholics although only I still practice. We had a Catholic wedding which my DH agreed to very willingly for my sake and for my DM and his DM. We had said that we wouldn't baptise DS because of doubt over whether you should really baptise someone who can't consent. Now I am feeling more like I would like to baptise DS although I still have some doubts. Maybe part of it is the disappointment my DM will feel if we don't do it. DH is thinking about it. Anyone any advice? NB Catholics are supposed to have their children baptised as babies/small children as waiting till "the age of reason" isn't really a thing.

I think if your DH was happy for a catholic wedding, it's a bit late to back track and say he doesn't want your DC baptised... It's a bit late for that!

Really, what harm can baptising do?

If you all feel unsure about FHC when your dc are old enough to understand hats going on, then that's another matter....

(And where are you all in the UK all where there are so many English Catholics? My DC go to a Catholic school with at least 40% Polish DC, and only a small % of the remaining DC are Catholic-early baptism really isnt an issue here!)

Not that many UK-born Catholics in our area of inner London, though not many from Eastern Europe either, they're mostly from West Africa and the Indian subcontinent. Many more at the parish we sing in and those who aren't are from Spain or Italy.

Loads of "English" Catholics in the NW of England as plenty of Irish descent.
