Books and prayers for terminal illness

Hello, can anyone recommend any books and prayers to help a Christian cancer patient come to terms with her terminal diagnosis. She has small children too who she is very sad she won't see grow up. She has a strong faith and isn't afraid of death per se but she's quite a meditative soul so would like some Christian readings on dying. Thank you.

So sorry to hear of your friend's situation. No brilliant ideas, just bumping for you really, but I always find psalm 23 (The Lord is my shepherd) a very comforting one in relation to death. There are some very beautiful translations of it - in fact I once saw a book which simply contained many different translations and interpretations of the psalm. (I know this wouldn't be to everybody's taste, though).
Prayers for your friend in her suffering, and for you too.

Facing Illness Finding Peace comes highly recommended (though I haven't read it myself).

Prayers for your friend, and for her children, and for you too.
