What do you mean 'last 24 hours'?

The best film about the life of Jesus that I have ever seen is The Miracle Maker. Animation voiced by Ralph Fiennes, Julie Christie, others...

The end. Garde of geth etc

The one I mentioned majors on the sermon on the mount, death and resurrection.

Perhaps if it's just last 24 hours, Mel Gibson's The Passion?

Why are you writing in shorthand btw? Grin

I have not seen "The Passion" although I would like to. When it came out I was going to watch it in the hospital while my dd slept who was having chemo and just the first 10 minutes were way too much for me. This is a film that spares no detail of the crucifixion of Jesus (so I have heard) so I really don't think it would be suitable for year 8 especially if that is the only part of the gospel they will be presented with. The "last 24 hours" is when he is Resurrected and meets his disciples, his mum and large groups of people surely?

Jesus of Nazareth is a beautiful film.

Got to be "JC, Superstar", surely? Then they can have the joy of singing "went round the corner on a Yamaha" for the ensuing few weeks Grin

Ha good point about resurrection. I meant up to crucifixion. Worried mel Gibson is a bit scary maybe

Life of Brian.

specialsubject · 20/10/2014 16:23

I wanted to say that...

all together now 'some things in life are bad...'

specialsubject · 20/10/2014 16:26

ps Life of Brian was banned in Aberystwyth. Sue Jones-Davies who played Judith (and THAT scene should be shown to all teenage boys so they know what a real woman looks like) became mayor of the town and overturned the ban.

Very satisfactory.

I went for the BBC The Passion
