Eid Mubarak to you too SANA and everyone else.

I was very amused when ds1 (in Reception) came home from school yesterday and told me that there had been a party and his teacher was talking about Allah. I asked if the party (Assembly I suspect) had been for Eid and he just looked so shocked and amazed that I knew what Eid was. It's amazing how nothing I tell him ever registers but when his teacher tells him it's suddenly very important.

Eid Mubarak to everyone too.

I am so lacking in energy today.
I think I need a good lamb biryani.

We sent in Eid cards for some of ds1's friends at school today. However, he came home with a "Happy Diwali" card?!

lisalisa Ramadan is a very holy and blessed month because it was the month in which the Holy Quran started being revealed.

It is not just about fasting but about trying to be a better person and to have more spiritual reflection. Fasting brings us closer to our faith as it forces us to think about why we are fasting - if that makes sense.
