Wishing all Jewish Mumsnetters a Shana Tovah (Happy New Year) and well over the fast (Yom Kippur). I hope you have had a good year and look forward to a healthy, happy and peaceful year to come.

I am not orthodox or anything like an extreme Zionist but there has been so much hatred for Israel spouted on Mumsnet, I'm hoping that this is a safe place to post my support for everyone Jewish, anyone who lives in Israel, has family and friends in Israel or is simply a supporter of the Jewish State.

Peace and best wishes to everyone whatever your beliefs Cake (honey cake, a traditional food eaten for a sweet new year!)

Shana Tovah

I agree Ketchup. I'm not religious (obviously, as posting this on 1st day yom tov) but had a very Orthodox upbringing, relatives in Israel, and it's hard to read some of the things on here.

So enjoy your honey cake, and wish you all a sweet new year.
