Would like a bible for my dd's 1st birthday. Ideally one that is very simple & possibly rhymes. Could anyone recommend one & where to buy one from. Thanks.

There are some. But the one we loved most is a lift the flap bible. It's still available. It's great. Creation, Noah ( a seal slides down a slide), Pharaoh and the Red Sea getting zapped, the lost sheep. Think DH had it at 18 months.

I also really recommend the Jan Pienkowski Christmas when a little older. The Authorised Version for the words, and it doesn't matter they don't understand them all, they will in due course, and wonderful silhouettes for the pictures. Only trouble was the Ds thought.for many years the Bible said there was an elephant at the nativity. We had tradition of reading it each Advent.

The Roger Priddy set of board books, Baby's First Bible, is great. Four brilliant board books, with great illustrations. There is the Creation story, Noah's Ark, Moses, and one about Jesus, including a wonderful toddler-friendly account of His death (amazingly - I never knew this could be told in a way that was suitable for small children!) DD has had the set from about 10 months old, and still often asks to be read them now, aged 2.6. Not a Bible as such, but brilliant, in my opinion.
