I keep seeing a small child out of the corner of my eye...

and its none one of mine!!!

For a long time I have "sensed" something in our house ( we have been here for two years)- I often feel as if something is behind me and sometimes can hear breathing if I am alone in the house. This has never bothered me, I have seen a spirit ( i think) before in my teens and although it freaked me out a bit, I didnt feel too bothered.
The man that lived in this house before us commited suicide after the death of his daughter by driving himself into a wall, so I have sort of always felt that it may be him that I am sensing......

...but recently (past three/four months) I have been doing something and out of the corner of my eye, have seen a small blond haired child, when i turn too look directly at it, it goes.
Now today, about 15 mins ago- I heard a "sliding" noise on the stair rail ( you know when you are coming down the stairs and you run your hand down the rail?)
I dont think that my mind is playing tricks on me, Im so convinced of the small child from my side vision, that quite often I assume that it is ds2 got out of bed, but when I look directly- nothing.

IM not freaked out at all, but its only happened recently ( the child) - why would i not have seen/sensed this before??

I was just going to say that I was enjoying the thread. I am interested in "spirits" and the like.
It makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck, people enjoy this...Nothing to be paranoid about.

I am not psychic (just very sensitive to atmosphere) but often used to see someone out of the corner of my eye in the kitchen. Was spooked but as my friend is a believer but also a little 'over imaginitive' I said nothing at first, not wanting to freak her out. But there was also a corner of her front room which made me deeply uncomfortable, cold and like I was intruding. I told her eventually and she agreed and said she had'seen' someone too. I got the very strong impression of an old man in the corner, so I christened it Albert's Corner and still could not sit there. She did research on her house (Victorian) and found out a man called Alfred had lived there for decades (and died there). And the area of her kitchen where I had sensed this man, once used to have a door to the yard (where the loo was!) so we just used to greet 'Alfred' when ever we saw him. There was no bad vibes, just definitley someone still 'there' IYSWIM!

We have an "Albert" too FMF! He and his family were the previous owners of this cottage, from when it was built we think. He collapsed here but died in hospital. The night we moved in a door suddenly shut and we giggled and said "cheers Albert", just joking. However, my PILs are spiritualists and recently they were here and dh and I commented that we could smell pipe smoke. No-one was smoking. "Oh yes, pipes up MIL, there's an old man wandering around", and the last time they were here FIL asked if we'd changed the back door since moving in, which we have. "There's a man stood by it" he said "he's shaking his head, he doesn't like it. He doesn't mind you being here though" .

I often think being pregnant heightens your sense and spiritual ability. It certainly has with me, I have seen a spirit before as a teen but since being pregnant I have notice more things like smells, very cool spots in the house, and things out of the corner of my eye.
The baby also has their spirit guides around from time to time as I have noticed unfamiliar spirit people hanging around which I am sure are nothing to do with me.
Maybe you are seeing this child because you are pregnant or have small children, which it is attracted too? Chances are it is attracted to you as a mother figure.
