Do you feel a "force"?

Do you ever feel a air/feeling/sixth sense/force or other being around you? I am not of an organised religion although i do believe there is something else. Anyways on occasion, say few times a month, I feel this "being" around me, I don't know what it is, it's at random times, and it dosnt make me feel afraid but slightly comforted. Basically my question is does anybody else feel this around them ever? If so could you share as I'm worried I'm a full blown weirdo Grin

It could be a few things

I think of God as a universal force so I feel that connection to the universe strongly occasionally

It could also be acute self awareness or a feeling of personal power?

Yes.

I'm also not of any organised religion etc, but I do perceive energy and energy beings around me, as I have done for a long time. My other posts on mumsnet have been honest and candid with my own experiences.

If you wish to make contact or to explore what this is for you, I suggest meditation as a means to connect further with your own energy field, and shielding your aura/body with your intention of commanding your own energy space for you. Also, if you feel so inclined to shield with platinum light. Imagine it surrounding you and your physical body entirely. Also effective in any psychic attacks one might experience.

I wish you luck. No, you are not a full blown weirdo, no you are not crazy.

I feel it in me. A few times a year.

Thanks for the advise indigo! I've been intrigued by mediation for a while, possibly need to look into it more before I try it out.

Sitting- have you always had it, since childhood or is it a recent thing? Ive discussed with a my dp and he thinks I'm odd Grin

No, out of the blue, while going about my daily business, no. But I'm sure there are fully explainable reasons why some people feel such things, either generated by their own brains or by external, natural sources.

I have had experienced sleep paralysis in the past, during a time of stress. It was intensely 'real' when it occurred, with sensations of being, grabbed, squeezed and suffocated. It was unnerving, but I understood what it was, so did not interpret it as some 'woo' experience, or being visited by aliens (as some do).

I have had it since becoming a christian. So about half my life.

I have often felt a wholly good and loving being around me. sometimes holding me lovingly. I've never been precisely sure what it is, sometimes it seems to be God, sometimes Jesus, sometimes an angel, ( angels usually say something too).

Once just a few days after my darling dad passed away, it seemed to be my dad, telling me he was healed at last. He had had cancer for 12 years before he died.

These experiences, for me, I have always found beneficial and they seem to happen when I least expect them. Hope this helps.

Thank you Beth, I will probably never get to the bottom of this feeling, but I'm glad other people have similar experiences and I'm not the only one Smile

I can connect to this feeling, having been doing meditations and working with energy healing (qualified crystal healer and Vibrational essences practitioner) for some time. I started out mainly atheist and ended up woo.

I've had some moments when I can very clearly feel someone touching me. Usually hands on my upper arms. People I practised my crystal healing homework on would sometimes comment that they could feel someone touching them (usually feet or head) while I was holding the other. It's always been a comfortable feeling, if slightly disconcerting.
