Made a fool of myself at Mass today.

I couldn't stop crying during a hymn and I had no tissues. Blush

The communion hymn was one my DM loved, we sang it at DF's funeral, then again at DM's. I could do with DM's support at the moment and really felt her presence but felt such a fool crying, we were right near the from too.

Five minutes later we sang 'Be not afraid' and I realised, for the first time that I'm terrified, I'm having a brain tumour removed next week so started crying again!

I've now put a packet of tissues in my handbag and won't be going anywhere without them again! Smile

Your post has really touched me. Personally, I think that we all go through rough patches in life, so if I saw someone crying, especially in a church, I would empathise and hope that that person's sorrow was not too deep. I will be thinking about you tomorrow, my thoughts are with you. :)

And me SB Thanks

Thinking of you tomorrow.

I cried at Mass today but it was because I'm a sentimental numpty and they played Panis Angelicus and it was the communion hymn at my wedding.

Thinking of you and hoping all went well.

SauvignonBlanche · 08/07/2014 12:22

Well I got as far as theatre but was then cancelled as the previous patient was unwell and the anaesthetist had to stay with them, so it couldn't be helped.

I'm due to go backdown this afternoon.

mineofuselessinformation · 10/07/2014 21:45

Great news - just came back to see if you'd managed to post, so was pleasantly surprised. Smile
Onwards and upwards!

SauvignonBlanche · 11/07/2014 17:15

I'm home! Grin
I wasn't expecting that! I'd originally been looking at a Friday discharge when the op was going to be on Monday. It was out off until Tuesday but I still got home on Thursday.
It must have been all the prayers - thanks. Smile Flowers
