Crystals for healing advice please

My mum is having her second knee replacement today. She had a horrendous experience with the first one, as she has EDS and Fibromyalgia and doesn't heal 'normally', so has serious issues around this one and has been really upset and tearful about it for weeks.

She is very into crystals etc and often gives gifts of healing crystals to people herself. I want to get her something to help her with healing and also to help her get past the panic/mental block she has regarding the pain she went through during the recovery period last time.

I have read up a little and bought some fluorite, which I am having blessed by a Reiki practitioner, but would really appreciate any other suggestions for something I can get her to help her both physically and mentally with her post operative period and recovery.

HI there, I hope your Mum is doing ok.
If you are in the vicinity of a crystal shop- why not just ask advice in there, or else set the intention to get the most purposeful crystal for your mum at this time, and see which you are drawn to.
Amethyst is an all rounder for 'healing' and howlite has been said to strengthen bones.

Unfortunately I don't have a crystal shop I can get to, so I'll have to buy online and cleanse them before giving them to her. I know she already has a lot of amethyst, but will look into howlite.

I have lots of crystals around my home. This house has quite a sad/unsettled history, so with the help of Mum we cleansed it when we first moved in and now keep a selection of crystals in each room that are cleansed on rotation. I definitely feel a different in the place when the crystals have just been cleansed and notice the rooms starting to feel heavy when they need cleansing. My dcs all sleep with a rose quartz as well. Smile

Is there any evidence that any of this works? Or does it just make you feel better?

Yes, their vibration really lifts and shifts. I would just go with whichever one you are drawn to, and I'm sure it will assist.
There's a lovely stone 'aqua aura' which is beautiful to look at the colours, and the energies, which might assist your Mum in this instance - although it's not described as a particular area of healing, from personal experience it can assist in sealing any auric weaknesses, and strengthen the person's energy field - which is also useful when undergoing any major surgery or general illness and associated fear/panic or emotional distress.

I've never sought any evidence sonlypuppyfat. I am actually a natural cynic, but my Mum is a very spiritual person and I trust her, so I was willing to give it a go and it does seem to work for us.

Even if it is just that it makes us feel better I can't see the harm. It certainly helps my dcs feel reassured at bedtime. [smile'

I've not heard of aqua aura, so thank you, I will look into it.

Personally I do feel certain crystals feel right where others don't, even different individual crystals of the same type feel different to me. I wouldn't call myself very intuitive, but I have learned to trust and listen to my gut feelings.

sonyl- no idea about the evidence. One often has to feel and experience these things for themselves before deciding if it is of any benefit.
Maybe its a bit like having a shot on a rollercoaster - if it feels good, then do it.
I've received crystal healing and can say it helped me where doctors wanted to insert pins and plates into my body. Therefore, that is evidence to me, it helped me.

(never heard of Aqua aura either).

I would google, loads of info out there. Judy Hall is well renowned....

I hadn't heard of aqua aura either, but felt very high vibrations and liquidy from them in my hands.

that's what I was going to say. For instance, prayer has been proven not to work but it makes some people feel better and that is really the important thing.

crystals are quite pretty things to have around. If they work as a placebo on the OPs mum, why not?

but don't pay anyone to do blessings or cleansings!

Does crystal healing work for car credit? There's no evidence for it but it's scientific fact.
