Churches in Newcastle?

I'd like to go back to church with my dds ( 3 & 1) after a 6 year break or so. I was brought up in a Presbyterian/ Church of Scotland tradition and find C of E a bit alien tbh ( although maybe just lack of familiarity).
I'd like to find a reasonably lively, informal churches ( not bothered too much about denomination) . Any recommendations?

Jesmond Parish Church is probably the most famous. It's an evangelical Anglican church, so theological not too different from the Kirk. But a lot more lively, and top quality teaching.

I also grew up in the Kirk but am very happy to be part of the Anglican evangelical tradition.

Hi scienceteacher

Haven't tried JPC yet. I've been told that David Holloway is quite conservative ( against women in ministry etc) which put me off . Is this true? To me ( coming from C of S) women in the ministry is a bit of a no brainer - just don't see the problem.
However, I've taken a look at the website - all looks pretty good. Will maybe give it a try!
