Advice welcome please (and apologies for posting another question about baptism!).

I gave €50, it should really have been €100 I think but I was broke!

We've always given between 20 & 30 pounds - to be honest its more a tip for the priest than a donation to the church. I think when our youngest was baptised we were the only ones that did it. Our chapel does several baptisms in the same sitting Smile

It varies from diocese to diocese but in ours far from it being a tip it is part of the Parish Priests income.

In my Parish the guidance is £30-£50

We baptised our two daughter at the same time in December and we put in the envelope £40 (£20 for each dd).If we could've afford more i would put another £20.It's a RC church if it makes any difference.
You give from your heart what you can afford.Don't stress about it please.Enjoy your day.

We gave £20

Our dds were baptised on easter sunday we gave priest £200. But everyone told us £50 was more appropriate and that we were over generous. But in my defence, the church could be doing with a few upgrades.

50 is a lot but nice if you can
