Hi. Had a second breast cancer scare in two years last week and it has left me wondering about my beliefs, and what this situation is meant to teach me.

I have never been a religious person, and I don't think I believe in god...but don't really know what I believe in. It seems very wrong now to go through life thinking it is all for nothing, IYKWIM!!

I have been thinking a lot about all of this lately. I do believe in reincarnation and karma. I can also relate to (although it sounds ridiculous!!) how Charmed portray their own religion, and spiritual beliefs. I know this message makes no sense at all.

Hopefully someone may be able to give me some advice.

(((adozenroses))) thats scary for you. Our family has had breast cancer for the last 6 years in 4 woman.

my advice is that you follow the feelings you mention here - and use your instincts as a guide. Start learning more about yourself and spiritual aspects that interest you, whatever they are.

Hope you are not a coffee drinker, linked to breast cancer.

I am actually trying to stop drinking coffee at the moment. I drink far too much

Thanks for the advice. It is very helpful and I will try and follow it. Hopefully I will find where I belong.

Hello there. follow your gut instinct and enjoy. and if it does not feel right move on to something else til you find what is right for you.
good luck. x
ps: and stop drinking coffee!!!

Drink decaf perhaps? It really is important to stop drinking it completely. I even get lumps in my breast even if I drink too much black tea and so drinking alternatives like rooibos or red bush tea.

It is important to empower yourself and not look too much for suport from others, even though support is good.

Have been reading a chapter on "the dreambody" and thought that you might find it helpful to look into this concept. Also called bodytalk, subtle body, shakti, kundalini, chi - dreambody is inner body sensations and visualisation / use of fantasy and imagination.

Illness in the body are signposts from the body - your unconscious. There have been afew threads about dreams the last few days, dreams could help you also when you try and connect them to your breast cancer scares. See if there are any sycronicities.

Practicioners such as Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais method work on tensions in the body as does Yoga. You might think about some body work like this in conjunction to your thoughts and feeling about everything.

thanks Mayadeine. I will look into this further. I am suffering very bad dreams at the moment, and I'm sleeping terrible. The dreams are very vivid, so I feel tired all the time as it feels like I'm not sleeping at all.

I do believe my body and mind are completely off balance at the moment. I need to figure out how to re-allign it.

hey hun, I know a family friend who had breast cancer on both of hers and she had to go through surgery and all but now she has recovered and doing well so please don't despair. To help you cope I would definitely recommend soul searching and looking into different religions/beliefs out there to find that sense of inner peace. I went through something difficult a few years ago and looking more into the religion I was born into really helped and gave me so much contentment and inner peace I never thought was possible and that happiness has never left me, prayer and a string belief really changed my situation around for the better hope you find the same.
