Shooting stars symbolism

I was looking up at the milky way on the Friday night when I saw a shooting star. I had a feeling it meant something and was worried about my dad who had back pain. On the following monday he was taken to A and E and unfortunately died on tuesday. I have just been googling to find a shooting star can predict a falling soul. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Also a couple of months before I had a dream that my late grand parents turned up at the door of my parents house as they used to do and we all just looked at each other thinking ''What are you doing here?'' I am just trying to make sense of it all I'm my head and see if anyone else can relate.

Dear Kerstina, I am so sorry for your loss.
I can relate re the dream you had about your grandparents. I have many dreams, often of passed loved ones, and very many prophetic in nature too. Recently I could sense my late grandparents around me (scent of aftershave...feelings and thoughts in my mind etc) and then the next day I'd heard that their son (my uncle) had taken ill and was being treated in hospital.
With love xx IB

Thank you for your reply it is good to know I am not alone with my experience . I just feel the dream was a message from elsewhere it did not come from my thoughts. I had not dreamt of them for years not to say I don't think of them . Most dreams I forget straight away bit this one was different . A couple of weeks ago I had the same thing happen but with my moms sister . She just appeared in my dream looking serious and I woke straight up . I am really worried something is going to happen to my mom now . Have told my DP but he does not believe in such things .

I think the main thing is to try not to attach a particular outcome from your signs/messages/loved ones in dreams. It might be that you are becoming more aware of your perceptions, and not necessarily does it mean that something 'bad' will happen. If you are open to this communication then allow it to happen naturally, and know that if you want to communicate then you can. After my Dad passed I had hundreds of dreams where he communicated with me, and also during my waking hours he would pop into my mind and advise me or let me know things that were important. At that time my friends were worried about me since they thought I'd lost the plot - but it has been proven to me, in my experience that we do not die, our essence still remains and this can be of great comfort. Not everyone will understand, and sometimes it is hard to quantify what we are experiencing with words that others might understand. Someone once told me that the things I experience are for me and me alone - I think this is correct, as not everyone will have the same.

Kerstina

I am really sorry to hear about your very sad loss. This must be a very difficult time for you.

Shooting stars are a beautiful sight, and many people have assigned special meaning to them because of their beauty and the special moment which is captured when a person catches sight of one at a random second of sky gazing.

However, there is no causal link between seeing a shooting star, and the passing of an individual. There will have been potentially thousands of other people in the world who will have shared that special moment with you, but not all will have been as unfortunate as you to have lost someone they love.

It may help to think of the fact that star gazers must see hundreds of shooting stars and they don't have lots of close friends and families dying. Similarly, during periods of high shooting star activity (eg when the planet passed through the wake of a comet's tail) there is not a change in the rate of people passing away.

With all that said, I hope the next time you see a shooting star, it reminds you of your father and brings you happy memories of times spent with him.

Thank you so much both taking the trouble to respond. I suppose really it is down to what we believe as we will never really know until our own time on earth is up. As regards to my dreams I do feel they were messages and I do believe there is a lot more to the universe than we understand. Different levels of consciousness. It may even be in our D.N.A that we know when our parents lives may be shortened like it has been proved that babies store their parents memories in their D.N.A. Or maybe I picked up on telepathy from how he was feeling before we knew he was ill. Lots to think about Smile
