Has anyone had a Bethal Sozo?

I had a Bethal Sozo, three sessions, it is a kind of prayer ministry.

I had it because of my problems with overeating.

I am not sure a Sozo would be for everyone but for me it was good. It took a while to get into it, The lady who was part of the team is a dear friend so I felt for me it was a very safe environment.

I wanted to post something in the In the club section but that now does not include the 'slimming section' and when I went to the big/slim/whatever section it has no space for the emotional side of eating at all!

I have known for a long time my overeating was not about needing to join a weight loss club, although I know that works for others. the Sozo looks at all kinds of things, like feelings of anger or fear etc, so it is not just about weight loss although for me those feelings might have been what was helping to make me overeat!

So anyway, I had a Sozo and now feel so much better about food. I still love food, and want to eat it! But the kind of mindless grazing seems to be better!

I just wondered if anyone else had had a Sozo and how they had found it.

Hi italiangreyhound my mum has but found it a little traumatic. How are you feeling about it now? I'd quite like to go to one..

Hi lavenderpekins I had three sessions and found the first not so good. However I found it increasingly easier as time went on. I have been told that this it is available for non-Christians but to be honest I am not sure how non-Christians would find it.

I hope your mum is OK. I am sure it is not meant to be traumatic.

Feel free to PM me.

I had mine because of problems with over eating. It has not 'solved' it long term but I have found prayer ministry has helped and has been one of the few things that have helped me to feel empowered to deal with this myself, in God's strength, rather than just denying myself food which I want to eat (but do not usually enjoy!). Anyway, pm me if you would like to chat.
