Thank You St Jude

Ok so this is going to sound very woo but... I have been going through quite a tough time over the past year and on another forum was recommended to do a nine day Novena to St Jude, the patron saint of hopeless cases. You can find details of the Novena prayer online, there are slightly different ones and you end by saying 3 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Mary's and 3 Glorias.

I can't tell you how healing this has been for me over the past 9 days. I have tried pretty much everything over the past year to lift this weight off my shoulders and in the past 9 days so much has already changed in my life, it is unbelieveable.

I wanted to start this thread to both recommend the Novena as well as use this thread to give thanks to St Jude for his assistance.

Please please don't write on this thread to disagree with my beliefs, instead start a new one. This has meant so much to me and part of the Novena is to thank St Jude and it would be lovely to have a thread dedicated to thanking him for anyone who has found this prayer helpful.

Im a Christian, and while I don't pray to the saints, I find so many lives inspiring and uplifting. My favourite saint is St Brendan, the "wild goose", who set out from Ireland in his little coracle to let God take him wherever He wanted.

I'm glad you've found comfort with St Jude. Just remember that with God, there are no totally hopeless cases!

My mum regularly does a novena to St Jude, for all sorts of things that seem hopeless. She absolutely swears by it.

Thanks for the suggestion - I've got such a hopeless situation to deal with at the moment I'm going to give it a try. Please don't anyone else ask St Jude for anything, he's going to be fully occupied helping me.

St Jude. Similar (but worse) situation in BF life has (totally unexpectedly) taken a really massive turn for the better. How's that for a broad hint that the impossible can be done! And only day 7

Please can you share the saint who answered your prayers. The saint that answered my prayer is Saint Jude. I did a
novena to St. Jude. I like to make is his name known he helped to heal my friend who was in extreme pain of his prostate. . The medication he is taking is working well and causing him no pain or side effects. Thank you Saint Jude. I promised to make your name known and cause it to be invoked .

On the 8th day your prayers will be answered for this prayer has never known to fail. Please don't forget St. Jude once your wish is granted.

Prayer to St. Jude

The bible says the dead know nothing. Praying to the dead is spiritualism and not of the God of Heaven. Pray to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. He is our healer and Saviour 🙏🏼

Asking others for prayers is a widespread Christian practice. For Catholics, this tradition of requesting prayer from fellow believers can include deceased mentors/friends, aka ‘saints’. Some Christians don’t feel comfortable with this, and obviously each person has to follow their own informed conscience. But the OP explicitly requested mumsnetters to please start a new thread if they had strong views on the matter, so I think we should respect that.
