Seeing the past

ok, yesterday I was on active topics and I saw a thread about 3/4 down the page. I saw the MN name and it was not one I had seen before, but it appealed to me so I looked at the thread.

There was only here original post on active topics, but when I looked at the thread another MN had posted. Thing is it was not at the same time that I looked at the thread, but about 20 minutes or thereabouts earlier.

So I doubled checked and went back to active topics to look. The thread was in same place - 3/4 way down page and this time had the name of the MN who had responded!

So what it called when I do that? (St George??)
And tell me more about it please and any tips :)

I need to drink more caffeine (I know I shouldn't but I need to wake up) and think about that one.

Synchronicity is the first word that popped into my head but I don't think that's it.

I have sometimes noticed that when I check a search page (I use find new messages a lot) the order of posters showing on a thread is sometimes different to the actual order when you open the thread IYSWIM.

mmm that sounds like it but I think that is the future. Post cognito / pre cognito, MN scrammble up that is the question!

Precognition could explain it - the active convo screen actually showed the true name but you read it as the name of the OP - enough to spark your interest and make you go to the thread. Was it something you could particularly help with and so were drawn there?

Yes I could help her with an answer, it was the title and also her name. I liked her name.

Retrocognition. I will have to look that one up. Gotta go to bed now with mannikin.

Thanks for the flowers SG it makes my heart smile. The MN name had word nature in it :)

She has come across this sort of thing before. Can't really give it a name, says synchronicity is as good as any. You were drawn to the thread for a reason, be it so that you could advise or so that you could take something away for yourself. Karma, fate, it was meant to be.

Or for the logical, cycnical explanation she said to go with 'techy glitch' Grin

mmm well I have had many synchronous moments but nothing like this.

maybe it was a techy glitch. Will remain alert!
