They may perhaps be a faction of some kind but are probably just Jehovas Witnesses. My friend let some JW into his home a couple of years back and now is one, but thats another story!

The people who come to your door are Jehovah's Witnesses and the magazine they showed you was probably the Watchtower and Awake.
