If you had to choose between these courses which one would you choose and why.

I have led both and I wonder what people think of them

I would choose Emmaus, but then I have an irrational dislike of Nicky Gumbel :o. I like the way Emmaus expands to include growth both for new Christians and existing ones.

I've only done and led Christianity Explored which I like (and you can continue with Discipleship Explored) - it is very focused on Jesus - his identity, mission and call and how we respond to him. I know people who regard Alpha highly but I think like all courses it depends who is running it and whether they use the DVDs etc. I haven't come across Emmaus.

I've taught Emmaus and liked it although it felt like it had been written by committee. The sessions were a bit long so I cut bits out.
