Help me find the right words for Dd's Jehovah Witness friend's mum

Dd has a close friend whose family are JW's. We are not. They have been friends for 4 years now. Lot's of issues have cropped up in terms of differing beliefs between our family and theirs, but we have always tried to teach dd tolerance and understanding of her friend's beliefs. A good example would be Dd's first year in school (reception) when she was told by her friend that Father Christmas isn't real and Satun's role etc.

Dd's friend has been home educated for past 2 terms as parents didn't feel school met all her religious needs any longer. If I'm truthful, I was relieved. Dd has been invited to play at her friends house on Thursday and I feel I need to say something to her mother along the lines of ... Can you not disuss Christmas, satun etc please. How can I word it respectfully?

TIA
Geisha

Most people don't talk about Christmas in August.

How old is DD now?

Tbh, I'd not mention anything. If you find unacceptable proselytising is inevitable under their roof, then I suggest you arrange for them to play at you house or on neutral ground.

I also think it would be hard to discuss this with her until there is an instance you dislike.

As long as you teach your daughter well then at 8 she should be ok.
