No news at the moment since the last update.

I will post it again here in case anyone missed it tho.

"Aillidh update: slight improvement in xray. Bronchoscope and lavage done. She is comfortable and sedated. Plan is to leave her on vent a few days and find out what is going on inside her lungs with results of bronchoscope/lavage. Please, please keep praying. Your prayers, thoughts, vibes and anything are keeping her and us going. We are buoyed by everyone's strength and hope. Her grandmother is here now and her maternal grandparents will be here on Monday."

this was posted by expat at 13.54.

More candles burning in NZ for Aillidh, her family and all those supporting them. I'd upload a pic for Expat if I knew how to!

Praying that antivirals are working. xx

LemonBreeland · 30/06/2012 09:49

Still thinking of A and all the family this morning.

Hopong the antivirals do their job.

psychomum5 · 30/06/2012 10:01

no news that I have heard or seen this morning....constantly praying and hoping for healing to happen and for them all to have their miracle of precious Aillidh recovering and beating this cruel and wicked disease.

I have a baking day ahead of me for a family party but will dip in and out and if I hear anything will update.

News from hospital - I went in and held her hand and was chatting to her, I moved her hand a bit to take it out from sheet so could hold it and she must have thought I was letting go so she squeezed my hand and pulled it back. Nurse said she had been waking up a bit during the night. I was chatting to her and she always moans at me for taking crazy photos when I am out with my friends, she says take nice photos and don't be silly...so I mentioned I was meant to be going out tonight and should I only take sensible photos and she squeezed my hand.

Then after a bit she opened her eyes and was wriggling about, heart rate dropped when spoke calmly too her. She likes to know someone with her. Then expat came back and we held her hand/stroked head as her bed covers changed - she was shaking her head she didnt want them changed and when we asked her to let us roll her over she shook her head no. I asked her if she wanted doggy (fave cuddly toy) and she nodded. The nurse asked if she was in any pain and she shook her head.

She was sleeping again when I left. So it is reassuring to know she is not in pain and that she is aware and comforted by people she knows being there.

Medical stuff - she had xray this morning. Her consultant dropped by from oncology, PICU drs ward round soon then they will confer, was with her when she had her physio and she was doing some good coughs after. Her oxygen had been at 70 but is now up at 80.

Great news giraffes, glad to hear it all.

Abra1d · 30/06/2012 10:49

Oh I am pleased that she seems more comfortable this morning and that the coughing is good and the oxygen is up! Thanks for letting us know.

psychomum5 · 30/06/2012 11:03

thank you giraffes....tis heartening to see that she is responding to the love and KNOWS how loved she is.

Lets hope the oxygen increase is for a short time only while her body rests and heals. She so needs to rest and heal.

much love....xxx

Snuggle tight with Doggy Aillidh, my little 9 year old girl won't sleep without Bun Bun, her favourite rabbit.

Keep fighting, so many, many people are sending you love.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 30/06/2012 11:41

How lovely to hear that she obviously knows that she is surrounded by people who live her so dearly. Knowing that can only help little A and her family to cope with everything.

Thaks you so much for the updates, please don't burden yourself with them though

Xxx
