seeker, I remember watching a TV show which was set in a studio. They had a big screen thing which was made of lots of reversible squares. On one side there was a picture of a tiger, on the other a picture of an astronaut. They set the screen to "random" so both pictures were jumbled up together and then asked the audience to "will" the tiger picture to appear. And slowly over about a minute the tiger picture did appear with just a few small bits of astronaut.
No-one could explain why.
I do think that perhaps if enough people want something, then maybe it's more likely to happen. Possibly humans are a bit more like an ant colony than we think and somehow we are all interlinked in a way we can't yet explain. But maybe, just maybe, if we all think the same way and want the same thing, it might just happen. We have nothing to lose by wishing, and if it helps Aillidh, then we have everything to gain.
