A fiver in a card. Honestly, that's what everyone does and the children really appreciate the cash. No need for anything else.

Children's bible/prayer book/rosary.

Or just a card and a gift voucher will be appreciated.

I gave my niece a little silver cross on a necklace and my nephew a youth bible (he was a bit older).

Thanks for the ideas everyone.Loving the simplicity of Chippys but feel I need to get a gift. However as I will undoubtably runout of time will probably do that anyway

We gave all our dgc [well 5 of them] rosaries-there are some really pretty ones about.A St Christopher is always nice too. Most Irish families seem to give money[two of my dgc have Irish grandparents as well as us].

Bit late now, but the Toybox charity do some amazing original Christian gifts that are inexpensive. Although if you're desperate, as I was once, if you phone them they'll post it out same day and first class, for no extra money.
