Possibly a strange question about having baby christened.

DC3 is due on the 21st June and we would like to have her christened in August. DH works away and so the next time to have her christened is in November. Our family and friends are all round the country so we feel August would be a better time.

Does anyone know if we could book it now or would that be down to the indivuadal(sp) vicar?

Thank you.

We had to attend preparation classes on 3 consecutive Saturdays. If your church does this you have to wait for a new course to start, so it's probably worth asking early.

It's up to the vicar. Regular attendees may not be required to do any preparatory classes, but if they don't know you it's quite like they will want you to and I suspect you'd better find out the requirements now so you can fit it in without too much difficulty.

It's all booked. No classes to do here. Both boys have been christened there. I just wasnt sure if we could get it booked before baby is born. I really badly worded my op Blush

I booked my DDs christening while I was still pregnant.
Got into a bit of a pickle when it came to the meeting beforehand. DH wasn't able to go. I sat like a lemon while the other attendees answered questions about God and Jesus.
I am not a believer.
