Where would you start reading in the Bible?

Would you start at the beginning and read right through or start with a certain book?

I haven't read all the Bible (embarrassed) but I want to start and I want to get the most out of it.

Luke - for a straightforward introduction to Jesus, the man - followed by Acts - to see what difference his life made in the first century.

I love the Psalms, which can be read on their own, or as part of a planned series of readings.

Also, starting with the New Testament, alongside a good Bible commentary, you will be cross referenced to the Old Testament, which I've found leads into reading the Bible from the very beginning.
