Catholic Baptism Preparation Course in London?

Hi everyone,
I live in south-east London and I am having my dd baptised in Dublin next month. My local priest has given me a letter of permission. However, the church in Dublin requires me to do a course prior to the baptism. I can't do the one there as I have work commitments unfortunately. I'd be told I could do one in a local church but now the parish priest has revoked the offer (it was his colleague who said it would be fine).

So I'm stuck! Family have all booked flights etc, so I need it to happen. Anyone know of any courses in London please? Just a basic baptism course, I know the drill having been to a few!

Thanks!!
PGx

Go back to your local priest and ask. He might do something ad hoc for you?

A quick Google shows that you are in the Archdiocese of Southwark (please correct me if I'm wrong). There is a list of websites for the various parishes here. Maybe you can find one close to where you live that can accomodate you. Alternatively you could inform your Parish Priest that you will be contacting the Archbishops office "Just to see if there is another local parish that can offer the course..." A bit naughty perhaps.

It may well be that they run Baptism preparation courses at your parish but like to do them for three or four sets of parents at a time and don't have anyone else at present to make it worth their while. Frustrating for you though.
