here

It'll be interesting to see how much goes into my jar by the end of Lent.

Today is 50p for each hour of recreational internet use.

I'm doing it, downloaded the app for my phone so easy to do. Todays is brutal but v good for me!!

We've also printed off the children's version - there isn't something for every day but once every few days, and an activity to do and they can give small amounts of money too. Good to get them thinking.

TisPityShesAWhore · 27/02/2012 17:45

today will be a big one - I've had the day off and done very little else Grin

also the lights will be big too. I had a quick count up of lights and lamps and came to about 40 Shock those little spotlights in the kitchen seemed a good idea at the time but there are 12 of them! I'l get the DDs to work each one out to get them thinking.

We're doing the kids' version.

'Had' to buy and eat some fair trade chocolate today. Pshaw. Hard lent, but someone's gotta do it Wink

My seven year old has just emailed Mars asking them why they don't do fairtrade Mars bars, and telling them they should do (and the reasons it would be a good idea) :o

We built towers of bricks, too- thinking of child labourers- and have to donate 5p per brick for our biggest tower.

We did it last year too, and it's really fun.

I'm doing it too -- mind you, haven't filled it in since Friday. Possibly my no-sugar Lent is addling my brain . Am going to print off the children's one and see if I can get the DSes involved.

I had given up wine for Lent but I feel this is much better and DD2 is being unbearable and I need wine

I'm doing it too. My most expensive day so far was the one where you put 20p if you can see a tree from your window... we can see loads of trees including a lovely one in our own garden, so I gave £3. Today shouldn't be too bad, as I've not been online long, but the lights one will be another biggie!

The kids one looks good too, only just seen it online.

Ragwort · 28/02/2012 15:09

MosEisley - I will just have to give a donation for yesterday, I can see a forest from my window Grin.

MosEisley · 02/03/2012 16:55

Ouch, Ragwort, that sounds expensive!

Just looking ahead to the weekend -'Give 50p if your financial situation has improved since last year'. Well that is a No, so helps to offset all the lights & trees I am giving for. Wonder how many people are also answering No to this question... quite a few this year, I imagine. Everyone seems worse off.

How many lights did you all have, then? We had 41... so £4.10.
