Testimonies/breakthroughs/good news stories?

I normally post on the Special Needs Forum, however our church is encouraging us to share the good things that God's doing in our lives so I wondered if anyone else wanted to join in.

We've had lots of little breakthroughs since Christmas. One was that the DCs have been asking to go to Eurodisney for the past 2 years. We've said, "Yes, when we've saved up". I was asking God to help us to to go this year and we were given 2 large sums of money over Christmas which has enabled us to go. We've booked for April .

Anyone else?

Thats brilliant :). Funny you should mention Eurodisney - a couple of years ago I won a holiday to go. Like you, we wouldn't have been able to afford to go otherwise :)

I'll volunteer my little story from last week - I had been sleeping really badly for a few days and on Tuesday evening I was praying for a good nights sleep as I got ready for bed. While my dh was in the bathroom I picked up a a little book of daily devotions that is in the large pile of books by my bed. The verse for that very day was Psalm 4:8 "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety" I had the soundest, longest nights sleep in ages . A small thing but just the right words at the right time :)

A friend's wife had a baby today. A real answer to prayer as their first child was a miracle, and they thought they couldn't have any more :D

Have just been looking at the prayer thread. Maybe we'll see some more good news from all the prayers.

Another one I had recently was to do with a grant I'd been awarded last year. It's for a university course I'm doing part time. Due to admin systems (long story) I was awarded it then the university lost it somewhere intransit and it was too late for me to apply for another one. After lots of phone calls, emails and help from a lovely person in the finance office, I was re-awarded it at the end of January .

I was really struggling with home life, kids, etc maybe PND and had booked a doctors appt. I asked my bible study group to pray with and for me to 'cope' generally. Since then, over a month ago, I haven't had a single bad day, have started to enjoy my children again. I hadn't realised how bad I had been feeling until I started to enjoy life again! I have canceled Drs appt, and I wish I had thought to ask God for help earlier!
