Imbolc blessings

Just wanted to wish the pagan crew here a great day. Now we're returning to brighter days, it's time to clarify aims and objectives, set goals and plans for the coming year. It's also time to do some 'Spring cleaning' - not just physically, but perhaps mentally and emotionally - to clear out the clutter, and prepare to grow!

Imbolc blessings to you, too, (and all the pagan crew), *Red2011.

I haven't done anything but wanted to add my blessings too. Definitley time for brighter days and brighter things.

Imbolc blessings to you all as well.

I walked barefoot in the freezing woods with friends, lit candles at a sacred spring, walked a spiral together, ate seed cake and chocolate, and burnt smudge. My Imbolc altar fills me with joy and anticipation of plans for the coming year every morning :)

I want an alter - just a little table in my room to put a few special thing s on.

I have a small wooden double shelf thingy by my writing space that is an altar just for me. And then we have a family altar which is one of those £2.99 shelves from Homebase covered with an appropriate coloured piece of material and whatever we want to put on it. At the moment it's green with red pillar candles, a white hyacinth (didn't have any snowdrops!), some things I gathered on our Imbolc walk, my crocheted dancing Brigid doll, and a Brigid cross. It's beautiful :)

But my own altar is my really nourishing space - crystals and an oil burner and oddments. I have a laughing Buddha that DH bought me, and a card saying 'be gentle to yourself'.

Wow, Flamingo that sounds gorgeous!

My 'altar' is the mantelpiece - which is about 6" wide and has peeling paint. At the moment it still has Yule greenery (wilted) on it. I am aiming to clear it off today and refresh it all.
I would have loved to have gone for a walk with friends and walked a spiral. Last time I walked a spiral was at Powys Castle in the 'maze'... the energy raised was great.

Full moon tonight! :)

I know! I'm going to a moon group - an evening in a teepee in the woods around a fire with other women. Smile

Make sure you smudge your altar when you renew it for Imbolc Smile
