Tantric sex - spiritual place - labour

If this is in the wrong place, let me know!

I'm wondering if anybody out there has experience with tantric sex and has an experience in labour that brought you close to, or to, the same 'place'. In my labour I went somewhere amazing (drug free!) and I would describe it as a spiritual experience. I have since been wondering if it's possible to get back there, because if it is, it would be incredible. The only thing I can think that might get close is tantric sex.

Anybody know anything about this or can direct me to any books?

Lol! Jokes aside I definitely had some sort of thingy during my last birth. For some reason the phrase 'tantric sex' conjures up images of bearded hippies, the men that is, and josticks. Am I anywhere near?

Sorry about your spiritual place MrsMacawber!

I'm sure that hippies and joss sticks have had their unvarnished toes in tantric sex - as they did in natural birth and yoga back in their day! From what I understand there is a form of meditation that the couple do before and while having sex. There are techniques that can make the experience last for hours but it doesn't have to be a marathon. The idea seems to be that you make love with your mind/spirit as well as your body. Double the pleasure so to speak!

Hi, OP, did this feel like a better than the best amazing sex in the world feeling when you got to the place? Sorry for the outright question. I have experienced my own experiences that I feel might be similar to yours (or not) that I would describe as this only better, and it was whilst I was just laying on my bed. I now think my soul energy was merging with another soul (and I was alone)

Hmm, it didn't really feel like sex as such at all because it just 'was', rather than being something that leads to a peak (orgasm). It was more the most incredible, loving, open, peaceful, warm, envelopping place I'd ever 'been' and I wanted to be able to take my husband there. I thought that it might be where people 'go' during tantric sex. Of course, then by adding sex to the equation, I could be there with the person I love and on top of that could have an orgasm - and I'm sure an orgasm in that 'place' would be the most incredible - although an orgasm wouldn't really be necessary.

Does that make any sense?!

Oh, and I asked my midwife about it and she said, very nonchalantly, "Oh yes, that's the oxytocin factor." There's a book of the same name, so I've just ordered it!

Hi, maybe I've termed it wrong as when you mention there was no peak, there wasn't a peak in my exp either. I would term it as ecstatic and warm and overwhelmingly just pure love! Let me know how the book is x
