I am going to one tomorrow with a friend from Choir and just wondered if anyone had any experience of this type of church. Am looking forward to it but am a little aprehensive too as I won't know anyone apart from my friend and I will be there with DD on my own (with no wedding ring...).

Ichthus churches are faily standard new charismatic types churches I think. I should think they'll be very friendly and the service should be quite lively. I can't imagine the wedding ring being an issue. I wasn't wearing one at a fairly conservative church we visited today, and it made no never-mind to anyone. (I lost it in the kitchen, lol)
But then, this is prolly late now anyway, unless you're going this evening. Let us know how it went.

Thanks Prariemuffin - I had a really nice time. The church was very welcoming and very informal. Chatted to you like good friends instead of the normal soleum approach that I am used to. The church is an hour and a half away and I can only go when my friend doesn't mind giving me a lift (she studies in oxford but originally lives in London) which is not a very good basis for a commitment in church. Ahhh we'll see!
