How to tie Yule with Christmas?

I am a Wiccan, my children love Christmas, I'd like to show them what Yule is about as well, the only problem is Christmas really overshadows Yule, and I'd like to find a way to tie them together so that they enjoy them both. Any ideas?

DH is a pagan, and we just do both - so a big dinner on Yule, everyone gets a small present from DH, then xmas as normal on xmas day.
