This evening ds2 (6) asked me to read his favourite bible story to him. So I asked what it was, and was rather surprised by the answer.

Who wants to have a guess?

When my sister was little it was Stephen getting stoned! She has always been a bit mad but I still love her!

No, none of those.
Soupdragon and Shazzler (first post) are on the right lines. (A bit gruesome and not very obvious)

There was a prophetess who killed someone with a tent peg - Deborah I think. Is it that?

David and Goliath?

roisin · 27/11/2005 19:41

Tony Robinson does a fantastic re-telling of the tent peg story on Blood and Honey ... but no, it's not that one.

(Not that gruesome.)

Shazzler · 27/11/2005 20:15

Would never have got that but at least I can stop racking my brains now.

JingEllBells · 27/11/2005 20:22

Not quite the same, but we went to see the Bayeux tapestry this summer. Dd2 (age 3) was obsessed with the bit where Edward the Confessor dies. 'Why's that man lying on that bed, mummy?' 'Errr... he's dead' 'Oh great!'!?!? And then she kept insisting on going back to have another look at the 'dead bit'!

(As I read up the thread, I was thinking 'tent peg' too...!)
