End of the World in Sept 2006

After reading the Bible Code a while ago, this has been playing on my mind sooooo much.

Does anyone else believe in this or do you think its just scare tactics?

I am a christian, although I struggle with belief after my darling dad died a few years ago but still believe in something - but I am so scared about the end of the world.

Sorry, I normally stay away from this bit of the Site, but I have to say that I think the 'End of the World; stuff is a load of old toffee

I am old enoug to remember when the EEC became made up of 9 members and scaremongers were saying this was the 9 headed beast (or was it 7...so long ago) mentioned in the book of Reverations and this meant that the end of the world was on its way.

Then I remember David Ike saying britain was going to be engulfed in a Tidal wave unless we all wore turquoise clothers (this was on the Wogan talk show on TV). That was in the 1980s....but nothing of the sort happened.

People in California whet a little loopy when the planets lined up (as they do from time to time) because that was going to trigger the end of the world

And so on and so on

It sells books. people like to whip up panic

If I'm wrong, sue me {grin]
