End of the World in Sept 2006

After reading the Bible Code a while ago, this has been playing on my mind sooooo much.

Does anyone else believe in this or do you think its just scare tactics?

I am a christian, although I struggle with belief after my darling dad died a few years ago but still believe in something - but I am so scared about the end of the world.

Maybe there'll be MN in heaven! Imagine all the people...

I just feel like I have got so much more to achieve but every day I read about suicide bombers and nuclear weapons and that is so similar to the way the Bible Code said its going to end.

But it has been like this all my life!

Do you know that the Royalmariened have only had one year since the end of the war that they have not been deployed somewhere because of war?

When I was younger it was al going to end because of the nuclear arms race betweem the US and USSR. And Fred Hoyle was predicting a new ice age! And now we are worrying about global warming.

This is all a load of toffee...rememvber the eclipse a few years ago....that was a amrk that the end of the world was iminant and that was over 5 years ago!

i believe we make our own fate, not the bible ( it's stories and chinese whispers, never been proved, like JFK killing), ghosts on the other hand .... do exsist, whether evil or good ....Those i believe in cause i have seen three now. ( all good ones). ( i follow a christian way of life, without believing in the bible, I just like to be a nice wholesome person, i make my own choice but try not to hurt others. The end of the world will happen because humans are natural destroyers, when that happens..... only evil will know.

( hope this isn't to heavy ) very emotive subject, have many descusions with my clients about it, at the end of the day, we can all believe what each person wants to. As there is no proof.

Rachee I really like your way of thinking and am inclined to agree with you. Would you tell me more about the 3 ghosts that you have seen? Someone said that if you see little "orbs" that they could be ghosts? Do you agree?

The end of the world next year? What, again???!

You're SUCH a spoilsport, Martianbishop. There was I, planning to spend the whole of next summer running up a HU-U-U-Uge credit card bill....

I don't believe the world is going to end next Sept. The reasoning is logical. I believe in palmistry, my lifeline is hugh, I'm only 24, therefore the world can't end next year.

Or maybe just logical in my twisted universe

Most of these predictions.... and there have been LOADS... talk about the "end of the world as we know it"....

Now that could mean ANYTHING! The world as we know it ended after 9/11.... then again after 7/7.... and some might say that the world as we know ended when Diana died!

it better not end then - I so want to enjoy a few months of having both my kids in full time school before the world ends.

Baba, if the Bible is true, then it says that no-one knows the time when the world will end. If it's made up, then how could the Bible Code's prediction be true? When was it written? It doesn't take much spiritual insight to say "nuclear and suicide bombs are dangerous and could kill us" does it?

I do believe the Bible, by the way, and it says "God is not slow in keeping His promise (to take us to Heaven with Him) as some understand slowness, but he is patient with us, wanting all people to be saved" Or words to that effect. He's rooting for you, baba, so don't lose hope!

Did you know that what the Bible does say 366 times (one for every day even in leap years) is "Do not be afraid" (cos God is with you and loves you)? Don't know if that sounds corny, but I found it quoite encouraging.

The way the bible code works is this apparently
Cant remember the exact figure but something like every tenth letter put together will spell out predictions, i.e The end of the world, 9/11, the assasination of JFK.

This is in fact true, however if you take any novel of the shelf you will find the same thing in random areas of the book.

The bible does'nt spell out predictions word for word, it just gives jumbled random words like, towers, bin laden, twin, terrorists, etc.

With only 26 letters in the alphabet the odds are fairly high of words appearing in this pattern.

There are also these so called preditions in the bible code that hav'nt happened.

These 'codes' were found in the book 'Moby Dick' using the same method.

The following assassinations were predicted by Moby Dick :

Prime Minister Indira Gandhi

President Rene Moawad (incredibly the Moby Dick code reads 'an exploding bomb' which is how he actually died)

Leon Trotsky (Trotsky was murdered with an ice pick. The Codes read, ice, hammer, executed, the steel head of the lance.)

Martin Luther King (to be killed by them, prepare for death, gun, agents deed)

Chancellor Engelbert Dollfuss (gun, Wien, assassination of a good fellow ... Dollfuss was shot by a gun in Wien, another prediction right on the nose, courtesy of Moby)

Sirhan Sirhan (the murderer of Robert Kennedy, a very complex set of codes, see it yourself).

John F. Kennedy (among other things the code mentions that Kennedy was shot in the head by rifle used by a concealed assassin).

Ive seen Nostradumus books on sale recently - but didnt he predict the end of the world in 2000, so surely the gravy train should have reached the terminus by now?

I remember a prediction for the end of the world in 1992 and again in 1999. They happen all the time (I suppose one day it will be right )

I don't think anyone can predict end of the world.NOSTRADAMUS, whom i used to admire a lot, predicted big change(refering to end of the world) begining of this milenium-but nothing happend...Yes ,it's true that he predicted lots of things which happend , but about end of the world..well, everyone has their own thoughts...
