I think it is facinating and can't wait to see whether "Church lite" is going to get the crowds in.

no - it has a very stupid name but the program isn't like that

It is a chutrch with a very small congregation. They have a new priest and some marketing men and they are trying to get the numbers up by new methods.

having the tv cameras there will do it

won't do anything afterwards though

i found it rather uplifting. despaired of the 'church lite' marketing ploy, but then other messages don't seem to get thru. liked the quiet but unwavering optimism of the priest. Don't know if it will last tho.

there's loads of stuff like this in America - they call it the 'purpose driven church' and apparently you can grow massive churches through marketing techniques. There are plenty of churches like that in the uk. But it's all a bit shallow, really. The Christian faith is wee bit deeper than jokey 5 minute sermons and a clown act...
