Christian perspective on miscarriage please

I hope no one finds this insensitive but I really want to help a good friend of mine. She's just found out she's suffered a mc and will need an ERPC next week.

She is questioning what happens to the foetus in spiritual terms.
She believes that life begins at conception and wonders whether all babies that are miscarried are welcomed into heaven even if only a few weeks into the pregnancy. She believes that they would have a soul and a spirit at this stage.

I tend to agree with her that that is what happens but she is finding it hard to understand and I just wondered whether anyone else had any further thoughts or suggestions on how I can help her with this.

I had a baby who died at 8 days old, and 4 miscarriages. I took comfort from the passage in Samuel chapter 12 verse 23. It is talking about David's newborn son who died and he says "I will go to him, but he will not return to me." This clearly says to me that the newborn babies and those who were not born, are in Heaven.
It took me years of struggling with this before my minister showed me this passage and it has been a comfort ever since. I wish I had been able to find it years before!!

yes, the foetus will definitely go to heaven.
Don't forget that in heaven there are no bodies, or forms, only souls.
So a foetus will have the same status as a fully-grown adult.

I'm sorry that your friend is suffering.
