Hello and salaams everyone,

I don't know if such thread already exists but I am starting one with the hope of getting other muslim mums talking about being a muslim and a mum in this environment.

We had a nice family programme in our area yesterday and it got me thinking about how much Muslim mums needs each other's supports. Obviously for people without extended families here, its much harder.

Hope I will get more replies and we can keep the thread going.

Salaam Alaikum! Got any room for a Muslim friendly Anglican, with a number of Muslim friends, a reasonable grounding in Islam, the Quran and the Hadith and a wish to learn more?

A topic I was discussing with a friend the other day-the representation of women in Cairo during the present crisis. Two tabloids I saw last week carried just one picture of a woman, who naturally was wearing an abaya, niqab and had her hands full of stones ready to throw. The double whammy sterotype-repressed and violent all in one!

I don't come on here very often but i just wanted to say asalaamu alaikum and yes jokes i think Muslim mums do need each others support especially if they don't have many other muslims around them.

Salam sisters :) im a muslim mum and i would love a thread to chat on here! Muslim or not id love a chat :) so how do we get started? Well hi im "Secret" im a paddy, i converted to islam 5years ago... I dont know many mums iv been at home with my boys for the last few years but my big boy started play school in sept and iv met a couple of lovely mums and become good friends with one who is muslim. I really think it is important to have friends, this lady is my first in years and it already makes a big difference to me having her. Anyways i wont ramble anymore just wanted to say hi really... :)
