Anyone Church of Scotland and living in England? What Church do you attend?

I really like the Church of Scotland as it's familiar and my family church is quite low church. I am struggling a bit with the C of E and just plain don't understand it.

I'm wondering where other exiled Scots go. Do you go to a C of E church? Or should I arrange to have a chat with our local vicar and ask for some guidance?

There is a C of S in Knightsbridge but it's a bit of a trek and not exactly local.

I came from a Church of Scotland background and am very at home in the Church of England. Evangelical CofE churches are very similar theologically with the CofS. The only bit that is different is that there is active liturgy (which you come to enjoy), and that the services are full and active.

Thanks for that. Do you attend an Evangelical CofE? I just don't feel at home in my parish church at all. Might try neighbouring parishes.

Yes, I do. If you live in a fairly populated area, you shouldn't have trouble finding one.

Have a look at acny.org.uk

You may also feel comfortable with the Methodists or URC. I am a Scottish Episcopalian and very comfortable in the more Catholic end of the C of E . So I know from experience that you're 'not in Kansas anymore.' The C of E is incredibly diverse but some URC churches will feel very familiar to you.
Good luck!
