Falling birds from the sky, dead fish, floods in Australia, now mini earthquakes!

Serious question. I am newish Christian but it's got me thinking.

Could be. I was thinking Climate Change. Maybe they aren't that different.

PurpleMiffy · 03/01/2011 22:26

Whatever the cause, pretty scary

Is it in honour of anniversary of KJV? Grin

Nah, these things happen all the time somewhere or another. The birds one is a bit odd, raining frogs is more common.

SnowMuchToBits · 03/01/2011 22:27

No - but I am not superstitious religious at all.

SparklyJules · 03/01/2011 22:28

No. Not at all!

FellatioNelson · 03/01/2011 22:33

What birds and fish?Confused Surely earthquakes/tsumanis/famines/pestilence/disease need to be of truly biblical (i.e. global) proportions to be relevant, otherwise there would be barely a week that goes by when something would not happen that could be seen as God's wrath?

thenightsky · 03/01/2011 22:35

earthquakes are nothing to do with climate.

PurpleMiffy · 03/01/2011 22:38

BIRDS & FISH

GrimmaTheNome · 03/01/2011 22:42

Don't worry. There will be some more rational explanation than 'God decided he didn't like blackbirds and one species of fish in Arkansaw today' Grin

Will be fascinating to find out what!

DioneTheDiabolist · 04/01/2011 00:07

thenightsky, climate may have an impact on earthquakes and volcanos.

Yes it is worse than you thought. Grin

There's also an alignment of 2 of the outer planets - and now I can't remember which ones.
Jupiter and uranus, i think.

they're in a straight-ish line as seen from earth, so you can see them both in the evening sky.

timetosmile · 14/01/2011 23:45

Purplemiffy, hope things are going well in your walk of faith.
One of Jesus' common themes, as I see it, was not to worry about when 'the end of the world' was coming....it was worrying people 200 years ago as it is today.
More important is knowing Him!

timetosmile · 14/01/2011 23:45

Ok, even 2000 years ago!! time for bed...

InterestedinMoving · 15/01/2011 07:40

There probably is. I would not worry about it as timetosmile said, Jesus already died for our salvation. Live a good life and follow the teaching of the bible and relax.

whomovedmychocolate · 15/01/2011 08:12

No, not at all. Same planet, same stuff happening as always. Just we have better comms links to find out about it.

madhairday · 15/01/2011 11:23

Agree with timetosmile. The end of the world will happen when it happens. The birds and fish thing is weird but stuff happens, doesn't nec mean much, I'm not worried about it myself.

lol at God didn't like certain species of bird/fish in Arkansas today Grin

LadyFannyofBumStreet · 18/01/2011 01:50

There is nothing biblical about this. The phenomenon you are witnessing is due to the magnetic pole shift (birds have tiny magnets in their beaks, hence the reason why they know which direction to migrate to). Everytime it has happened, Earth has undergone a huge tranformation i.e dinasours were killed off.

Interesting times ahead!

AttillaTheMum · 19/01/2011 14:47

I disagree, I think it is biblical.

Hosea - 4:3 Therefore the land will mourn;
And everyone who dwells there will waste away
With the beasts of the field
And the birds of the air;
Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.
