Christian Pagans?????

A colleague of mine on the religion and Philosophy BA I started Monday describes himself as a Christian pagan, claiming to be a pagan priest and practising christian. Can anybody explain to me how this could possibly work????

You posted on the Quaker thread PC, did you see Ruty mention she is a christian pagan? She also mentioned the "Iona community, which is very much into the presence of God in Nature"

Have just been reading abit about Celtic Shamanism - so it seems things all cross and blend in the spirit.
