Diwali

We are going to a friend's house on Friday and I think its Diwali, although I'm not positive.

Was thinking of getting my DC to make some cards. Has anyone got any suggestions and is there anything I should avoid?

Have fun! It is Diwali tonight, so perhaps too late now to make cards. Pictures I've seen seem to have lots of candles/lanterns on them. Also some of the dieties involved, but candles seem easier.
